Pearl Maxine Mullinix

Maxine Mullinix passed away on April 7, 2026, at her home with her loving daughters beside her. She was 94 years old. Maxine was born February 1, 1932, in Platte County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Walter and Pleasie (Myers) Allred. Maxine married Kenneth Howard Mullinix. They were married for 43 years. He preceded her in death. During their marriage, they had 5 children: Howard Leroy Mullinix and Michael Mullinix, who both preceded her in death, Vickie Campbell of Fortuna, Missouri, Paula Woolery (Pete) of Fortuna, Missouri and Tammy Gadberry of Perryville, Missouri; four grandchildren: Jennifer Clark (Shawn), Steven Woolery, Darrell Campbell (Brandin), and Andrea Little (Jacob); 8 great-grandchildren: Madison Hagan (Nick Berger), Jacob and Alivia Donnelly, Hayden Dyer, Bailee Campbell, Brady Woolery and Shelden and Adley Clark; two great-great-grandchildren: Elijah and Raelynn Berger. She is also survived by one brother, Ronald Allred (Ana), along with many nieces and nephews, her good friend and neighbor, Janet Pollock and many more friends she made throughout her life. In addition to her parents, husband and sons, she was preceded in death by her brothers Douglas, JW, Gerald, baby boy Allred, and sister Ruth Clevenger. Maxine was blessed to be the head of a five-generation family. She graduated from Bynumville High School, where she participated in basketball and was the ping-pong champion. She was a member of the Puzzle Ridge Baptist Church and was baptized there. She worked outside of the home a few years in Macon, Missouri, at Toastmaster. She lived on Puzzle Ridge most of her life; later in 2004, she moved to Tipton, Missouri. She volunteered and had been a board member at the Tipton Nutrition Center and participated in raising money for the center. Maxine loved to garden, can fruits and veggies, and helping her brother can his veggies as well. She loved working in her flower gardens and quilting, where she made numerous quilts for her family. She looked forward to her family gatherings, high school and family reunions, playing board games and bingo. Maxine would say that her life calling was to raise and take care of her kids and family. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Everyone that met her said that she was such a sweet lady they enjoyed visiting with, while her doctors said she was a tough old bird, and that would make her laugh. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Chris Roe officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, at Johnson Cemetery in Lagonda, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Tipton Nutrition Center. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
