Jeannette Catherine Scott

Jeannette Catherine Scott, age 79, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 1, 2006, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. She was born December 27, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Harold and Bernadine Woodlock Hertweck. Jeannette worked hard all her life to support her children; she was a cook in St. Louis, Missouri, before moving to the Lake area in 1970. She was the housekeeper for St. Patrick Catholic Church, cooked for the Nutrition Center in Versailles for many years, and after she retired she volunteered her services at the center. She was treasurer for Morgan County OATS for years up to her illness in 2002. She loved to play card games, bingo, and traveling with the OATS group on their many endeavors. Jeannette was a member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Versailles. She is survived by her children, Michael Scott Sr., and wife Mary, of Jackson, Missouri, Patrick Scott and wife Glenda, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Kathy Scott, Karen Ross of New Franklin, Missouri, Karen Andrews and husband Larry, of Southaven, Mississippi, Timothy Scott and wife Joy, of Camdenton, Missouri, Kevin Scott and wife Tammy, of Ashland, Missouri, Thomas Scott and wife Paula, of Versailles, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren, Cheri Sue, Michael Jr., NiJeatte, Katreen, Chris, James, Kim, Kelly, Tiffany, Christopher, Katlynn, Emily, Courtney, Kevin Joseph, Jessica, and Matthew; twenty three great grandchildren, Steven, Brittany, Breanna, Brandon, Cassidie, Ashley, Faith, Jolie, Destiney, Jordan, Hannah, Meggan, Mayce, Emma, Kyley, Alexzander, Dominic, Hunter, Dalton, Rebeca, Caci, Tabitha and Angelia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Tyler and Spencer, one sister Jean, and one brother Harold. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, at Old Saint Patrick Catholic Church on Route O in Laurie, with Rev. Father C.D. Ryan officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, where the Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. Interment will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Laurie.
