Barbara Ann Morgan

Barbara Ann Morgan, age 91, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 30, 1934, in York, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nell (Collins) Dennison. On June 26, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harold Morgan, who preceded her in death on September 9, 2024. Barbara worked as an order control supervisor for International Harvester which later became Navistar until her retirement after many years. She lived a life filled with activity, friendship and love for family. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and cards and spent many years bowling in leagues, a pastime she cherished throughout her life. A gifted singer, she shared her talent by singing at weddings and funerals for many years, touching the lives of countless people. Barbara was an avid sports fan and devoted supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. She also enjoyed attending Lady Bears basketball games and Boys and Girls Club events in Springfield with her sister. An enthusiastic golfer, she loved the game and took great joy in teaching her children and grandchildren how to play. She looked forward to filling out March Madness brackets each year with her sister and nieces. During her years at Navistar, she also enjoyed fishing trips with her coworkers and friends. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and the time she spent with them were some of her fondest memories. Her love, encouragement and devotion will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Pam Jagow, Diana Wolfenkoehler, Michael Morgan (Luz), Debbie Armstrong (Jim), Sharon Larsen (Darrin) and Michelle Potter (Randy); fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Therese Helm and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph A. Morgan and sister, Joanne Lynch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 9th, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie with Father John Schmitz celebrating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at the church with a rosary prayed at 9:30 a.m. A private family graveside will be held at Valor Park Memorial Gardens in Grain Valley, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to City Union Mission in Kansas City. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
