Ruth M. Hilderbrand

Ruth Mae Hilderbrand, age 86, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles, Missouri. She was born, March 18, 1935 in Versailles, Missouri, a daughter of Joseph and Mabel (Ensminger) Hilderbrand. Ruth was proud to be a lifelong resident of Versailles, Missouri, having lived on the same farm throughout her lifetime. She was a graduate of Versailles High School and Capital Business College. She worked for the State of Missouri as a typist and later for Commodity Foods in Versailles. She retired from Good Shepherd Care Center as a cook. Time spent with her sisters was precious to her. She enjoyed eating out and spending time on the farm. Her great-niece, Karley, held a special place in her heart. Survivors include her nephew, Fred Smiley and wife Donna; a great-niece, Karley Smiley all of Versailles, Missouri and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Robert Hilderbrand and two sisters, Marie Smiley and Etta Porter. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles. Burial will follow in Versailles Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Versailles Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
