Peggy A. (Green) Easterly

September 26, 1942 - February 1, 2022

Peggy A. (Green) Easterly, age 79, of Versailles, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Camdenton Windsor Estates. She was born September 26, 1942, in Versailles, daughter of the late Estel Brison and Thelma (Silvey) Comstock. On June 5, 1960, in Versailles, she was united in marriage to James F. “Jim” Green who preceded her in death on April 11, 2012. She married her surviving husband, Larry G. Easterly on April 19, 2013. Peggy worked in banking for many years, retiring from Concordia Bank in Laurie. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, the Newcomers/Longtimers Club and the Morgan County Historical Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, collecting lighthouses and traveling. In addition to her husband, Larry, she is survived by her sons, Stephen Green and wife Bonnie of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Green and wife Chris of Platte City, Missouri and Terry Green of Colony, Kansas; grandchildren, Steven Green, Spencer Mainard, Brandon Green, Casey Green, Jamey Johanning, Dustin Green and Courtney Macdonald; great-grandchildren, Keelyn Petrie, Aiden Green, Evan Green, Rylee Johanning, Olivia Green, Evelyn Green and a great-granddaughter on the way; her nephew, David Comstock of Reno, Nevada and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Comstock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 10th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
