Norma A. Hayes, age 90, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born June 26, 1931, a daughter of the late Ben and Velma M. (Bond) June. On November 13, 1948, in Versailles, she was united in marriage to James Franklin “Frank” Hayes and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1989. Norma was a member of the Versailles First Assembly of God Church where she was an active member of the Women’s Ministry. She also served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was an avid reader and doll collector. Norma is survived by her sister, Delores Claas of Tipton, Missouri; brother, Les Allison of Tipton, Missouri; brother-in-law, Jess Hayes of Eldon, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and many other relatives and friends. A graveside service and interment will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 2nd, in the Versailles Cemetery with Pastor Blake Tiemann officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Women’s Ministry at the Versailles First Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
