Naomi Peoples went home to be with her Lord on December 7, 2021. She was born March 13, 1931, in Morgan County Missouri to Benjamin and Mary (Stockdall) Wilson. On April 14, 1949, she married Clayton F. West who preceded her in death on October 7, 1979. She and Clayton had 4 children who survive, Linda (David) McDowell of Mustang, OK, Stewart West of Twentynine Palms, CA, Melissa (Dennis) White of Eldon, MO and Elaine (Jim) Trent of Beulah, MI. She has five grandchildren, Christine (Jase) Bradford of Tuttle, OK, Kyle (Anna) McDowell of Hampton, UK, Bridget Trent of Carson City, NV, Dan Trent of Billings, MT and John White of Eldon, MO. She also has 6 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Parker McDowell, and Tritten, Bria, Chasen and Westen Bradford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. On April 8, 1982, Naomi married Aubrey Peoples who preceded her in death on July 29, 1991. She loved being “Mimi” to Aubrey’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by one stepdaughter, Donna (Dan) Daulton and their extended family of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Naomi came to know the Lord in 1964. From that time on one of her favorite points of service was in teaching children about Jesus in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. In her later years before her eyesight failed, she was a prayer warrior for friends and family. She would read her Bible multiple times a day and pray over her list of requests and concerns. As a homemaker, Naomi was adept at cooking, canning, sewing, and gardening. She worked tirelessly to make the home a haven for family and friends. In addition to her parents and spouses, Naomi was preceded in death by her 10 brothers and sisters, several nieces and nephews, three step-children, one step-grandchild and one step great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 13th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Ritchie Cemetery near Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
