MARTHA MARPLE Martha Ann Marple, 69, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 in Landmark Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. She was born October 22, 1947 in Springfield, Illinois, a daughter of Charles Raymond and Ruth Mary (McGlothlin) Register. On December 28, 1963, she was united in marriage to Harold Wayne Marple. Together they shared the past fifty-three years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Register. Survivors include her husband, Wayne of the home; three daughters, Rhonda James and husband Steve of Gravois Mills, Missouri, Pam Smith and husband Hal of Versailles, Missouri and Renea Creekpaum and husband David of Clairemore, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; five brothers; three sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was a member of West Union Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ. She served as treasurer of the church for many years and in many other areas of the church as well. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking and playing the piano at the nursing home. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles with Brother Rod Campbell officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to West Union Baptist Church and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
