Limia Korin "Mia" Burris

Limia Korin “Mia” Burris, age 20, of Steelville, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born April 10, 2001, in Osage Beach, the daughter of Jeffrey and Angela (Hess) Burris. Mia enjoyed cooking and singing, especially her favorite song, “Jesus Take the Wheel”. She had a big heart who loved her family and friends fiercely and was loyal to a fault. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her father, Jeffrey Burris (Cara) of Versailles, Missouri; her mother and step-father, Angela and Lamour Adams of Branson, Missouri; her brother, Andrew Burris of Rocky Mount, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Brenda and Howard Wheeler of Versailles, Missouri and Ricky and Mary Maupins of Jefferson City, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Phil and Chris Hess of Steelville and Rocky Mount, Missouri and Jim Axtell of Emma, Missouri; paternal great-grandmothers, Georgia Maupins of Tipton, Missouri and Flo Wheeler of Versailles, Missouri; maternal great-grandmother, Verna Spencer of Eldon, Missouri; her uncles, Anthony Wheeler of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tony White of Jefferson City, Missouri; her aunts, Brittney Maupins of Jefferson City, Missouri and Shayla Henderson of Versailles, Missouri; her godparents, Heshimu Booker and Mariangela Briceno of Kansas City, Missouri; other great aunts, uncles, countless cousins and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her step-sister, Jackie Sydney and her maternal grandmother, Iola Axtell as well as other great-grandparents. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. A celebration of Mia’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home with Reverend Robert Ross officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
