Lester Eugene "Gene" Tomblinson

January 6, 1966 - April 8, 2022

Lester Eugene “Gene” Tomblinson, age 56, of Eldon, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at his home. He was born January 6, 1966, in Boone County, Missouri, a son of the late Richard and Roseann (Routon) Tomblinson. Gene was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his granddaughter’s and treasured the time he spent with them. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie McDaniel and husband Terry and Mindy Kampeter and husband Travis all of Eldon, Missouri; his son, Troy Branstetter (Trenady) of Barnett, Missouri; grandchildren, Brayleigh, Kennedi, Rylee, Danica, Tate, Ayla, Jordan, Grace, Keeghan and Braeden; his significant other, Brenda Branstetter of the home; brothers, Stanley Woods of Otterville, Missouri and Jim Tomblinson and wife Cheryl of Jefferson City, Missouri; sisters, Darlene Kliethermes and husband Mitch of Jefferson City, Missouri and Rosetta Meyer of Eldon, Missouri and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Tomblinson, his brother, Ralph Woods and his sister, Rhonda Schulte. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 11th, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Versailles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home to assist the family. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
