Larry Miesner

LARRY MIESNER Larry Eugene Miesner, age 71, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born July 21, 1947 in Richland, Washington, a son of Ralph Martin and Eileen Anna (Vogts) Miesner. On May 29, 1970, he was united in marriage to Susan Ellen Lesser. Together they shared the past forty-eight years of marriage. He was raised in Girard, Kansas and graduated from high school there. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, he lived in Kansas City where he began a career with Southwestern Bell and retired after many years of service. The family moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in the mid 1970’s. Larry was an avid Bowler and enjoyed playing guitar. He was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. Survivors include his loving wife, Sue Miesner of the home; two sons, Anthony Eugene Miesner and Troy Ellis Allen Miesner both of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gerene Kelly of Kearney, Missouri, Kathy Noldner of California, Missouri and Cindy Printup of Mesa, Arizona; two brothers, Jimmy Murdock and Kevin Murdock both of Girard, Kansas and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three children, Tina Grant, Tim Miesner and Todd Miesner. A memorial service and military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Sunrise Bible Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
