KEVIN GREEN Kevin Leroy Green was born on September 6, 1960 to his parents Everett and Deanna of Kansas City Missouri. He went to college at DeVry University where he proudly graduated with a bachelor's degree. He worked at Dataco for many years before being medically retired. Kevin loved to continue to stay busy by working on IT projects, writing short stories, spending time with his wife, keeping up with his friends or spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a self-proclaimed nerd and loved all things tech. He enjoyed reading, golfing, math, brain teasers, science fiction, knitting, online gaming, comics and yearly family outings to the Renaissance Festival. He could always be counted on to carry an index card or two and a pen in his pocket. Monkeys and penguins were his mascots, he loved telling jokes, playing instruments, magic tricks, playing cards and drinking large amounts of coffee. Kevin loved his friends and family most of all and always hoped the kids would remember him as a funny, loving guy. He loved helping with homework, playing board games together, good conversation and old movies. He was devoted to his family and wife and loved her deeply, always making sure to tell and show her through his actions. Kevin passed away in his home unexpectedly on Sunday, April 24, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia Ann Green; their four children, Michael Leffert, Melissa Fields, Aaron Green and Rebecca Diebold; fourteen grandchildren they were blessed with, Austin, Becka, Darlene, Emma, Lily, Logan, Skyelyn, Jordan, Brysan, Landon, Westyn, Arionna, Carlee and Amanda; one great-grandchild; his mother, Deanna; his brother, Justin; two brothers-in-law, Kenny and Bill and their wives, Joyce and Vickie as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, May Nichole; his father, Everett; two sisters; two nephews and many dear friends, among them longtime friend, Wesley. Kevin knew and loved God. He knew Jesus was his Lord and savior and because of this we can know that he is safely resting with the Lord today. He spent many years as a youth leader and active in his church. He wanted his children and friends to know Jesus. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles. Burial will follow at Versailles Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
