KAREN MAYER Karen Louise Mayer, age 73, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She was born April 18,1949, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Max F. Mayer and Eva Rose Mayer. Karen Louise was one of five Mayer siblings. Karen is survived by immediate family; Martin (Kathy) Mayer, Cheri (Fred) Keene, Eric (Sherline) Mayer and LeAnn Banks. Karen was the first born to Max and Eva Mayer. Karen was blessed with glossy black hair and emerald, green eyes, indeed a beautiful child. Her mother often described Karen as a “concrete” thinker. Karen was loyal and steadfast both as a daughter, sister, and a friend. All you had to do was ask and she would assist. Karen was very proud to have retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. Karen treasured the time she spent with her family. Among those left to cherish her memory are, Teresa Mayer, Cooper Mayer, Cindy Mayer; nephews and nieces, Michael (Angela) Siess, Stacy Hayes, Morgan (Abby) Mayer, Marcus (Laura) Siess, Roy (Dawn) Scott, Kristen (Ben) Mesiti, Lauren (Jake) Plume, Max (Melissa) Mayer, Tremaine and Aidan Banks; great-nephews and nieces, Ella Scout, Molly, Kinley and Reagan Mayer, Marti Ann and Marley Mesiti, Justus, Jazzlyn and Jordan Scott, Piper and Grady Hayes, Zoey, Harlow and Isla Siess, Masynn Acheson and Sawyer Siess and Jakey Plume and extended family, Mary Mize and Rocky Levy. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 800 Highway O, Laurie, Missouri. A gathering of family and friends will follow the graveside services at St. Leo’s Hall at St. Patrick Church, 176 Marian Drive, Laurie, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
