John Difranco (Jay Dee) born July 1, 1959, in Rochester, New York, was called away with the Lord to stay in his Mighty Kingdom on April 12, 2022, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Catherine Difranco, sister, Mary Difranco and brother, Joseph Difranco. John, a long time resident of California, was a very loving and passionate man when it came to his family, friends, and there was never a stranger. He was a free spirit that touched the lives and hearts of many. His bravery, humor, charisma and undeniable charm led him on a life path where there were no boundaries, restrictions, limits or judgements that would halter him from living his best life exactly the way he wanted. He was talented in many things yet he enjoyed creating and playing music the most, if there was a place to jam out, he was there. He is survived by his daughter, Jennafer A. Difranco; grandsons, Larry and Isaiah; son, Michael Smith and family; brother, Robert (Dave) Difranco; sister, Patricia (Gary) Thompson, Johnny, Stephen (Baby Gazoo), Heather (Kameron), Shawn (Monique, Brooke, Jenna); brother, Joseph (Diane) Difranco and family, Crystal, Kayleigh, Kelly and Casey and the newest addition great-grandson, Valentino. Graveside ceremony and burial will be held on July 1, 2022, at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by John’s Celebration of Life located at the Beachfront Pavilion, Ontario Beach. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
