GWENDOLYN LOCKHART Gwendolyn Lockhart, age 95, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at Eldon Nursing and Rehab, Eldon, Missouri. She was born June 27, 1926 in Rockville, Missouri, a daughter of James Elmer and Lucinda (Wynes) Bain. On October 18, 1947 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Ramon Lockhart, Jr. Together they have shared the past seventy-four years of marriage. Ramon and Gwendolyn lived between southern California and Michigan for many years, with a few years spent in Kansas. They moved to Waynesville, Missouri, where she worked for Social Services for ten years. They moved to Versailles, Missouri twenty years ago. In her spare time, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing golf and bridge. Most of all, family was important to her. Survivors include her loving husband, Ramon Lockhart, Jr.; two daughters, Joyce Noble and husband William of Columbia, Missouri and Ramona Twellman of Makanda, Illinois; three grandchildren, Angela Caraway and husband Todd, Jennifer Noble and Daniel Noble and wife Julie Schwartz; five great-grandchildren, Samantha Caraway, Nicholas Caraway, Zachary Caraway, Ari Noble and Noah Noble; a brother, Billy Bain of Scottsdale, Arizona and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Dustin Twellman and eight siblings. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
