Gerald Lisenby

Gerald Lee Lisenby, age 83, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, passed away, Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home. He was born September 23, 1938 in Bedford, Missouri, a son of James Vern and Myrtle (Mitchell) Lisenby. On June 2, 1956 in Chillicothe, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Vera Rhea Rupe. Together they shared sixty-five years of marriage before her passing on September 17, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Deborah Schneiter and three sisters, Donna Taylor, Shirley Watson and Doris Bowes. Survivors include two sons, Rodney and Terry Lisenby both of Gravois Mills, Missouri; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Gerald served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and had been a Real Estate Broker with Century 21 for several years. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Sunrise Bible Church, Sunrise Beach, Missouri. A meal will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
