GENELLE BOOHER Althea Genelle Booher passed away, Saturday, June 13, 2020. Genelle, the youngest of five siblings, was born, March 19, 1935 at Crossett Camp, Arkansas, to David Nelson and Lucinda (Flowers) Smith. In 1957, she was united in marriage to Allen Daniel Booher. Together they shared fifty-seven years of marriage until his passing in 2014. She graduated from Little Rock Baptist School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1955. She worked at the hospital there until her marriage to Allen. As an Air Force family, she continued as a nurse in each area they were stationed until they landed in northern California in 1971. Genelle was an active resident of The Lodge in Fayette since early 2015. Genelle is survived by a son, Allen Neal Booher (Bonnie Sue Styles-Booher) of Layton, Utah; a daughter, Dana Louise Booher-Battison (Ian Battison) of Fayette, Missouri; nine grandchildren Kaylie Jean Battison-Shaneberger (Grant Shaneberger), Ryan Bartholomew Booher (Shannon Marie Lovelace-Booher), Jonathan David Booher, Kyle Douglas Booher (Rachel Dilbeck-Booher), Shauna Booher-Maylin (Matthew Maylin), Jacob Bradley Booher (Leeann Brown-Booher), Breanna Rose Booher-Stewart (Chase John Stewart), Jessica Lynn Booher-Hansen (Jake Deven Hansen) and Joshua Caleb Booher; fourteen great- grandchildren Skyler David Jones, Aaron Michael Jones, Olivia Marie Booher, Adrien Zandel, Kaleb Zandel, Zoey Capri Maylin, Davin Cade Maylin, Kayzie Jade Maylin, Hazel Wren Maylin, Alaina Rose Stewart, Declan John Stewart, Emery Quinn Stewart, Katelyn Emma Hansen, Linley Ava Hansen and Grant Lee Hansen and a sister-in-law, Louise Booher-Blanton (Ed Blanton). She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and five siblings: Jewell Smith, Masel Smith, Opal Watkins, and Carl Smith. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2020 at the Fayette City Park lower shelter. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles. A second visitation will be held from 10:00-10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
