EVELYN BEAVER Evelyn Marie Beaver, 74, of Laurie Missouri (formerly of West Liberty, Iowa) passed away on February 10, 2022 with her loving daughters Jannette and Jan Marie by her side. Evelyn was born January 23, 1948 to Gladys and Roy Berg Sr. in Iowa City, Iowa. She married Larry Beaver in 1981 and was a farmer’s wife and a great mother. Evelyn also worked at the Artist Colony in Iowa City for seven years and Hills Bank in Coralville for ten years. She and Larry moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri in 2004 where she started her own cleaning company. She worked eight years until she retired in 2011. Evelyn enjoyed playing cards, volleyball, bowling, and of course golfing with her great group of friends! She loved animals of all kinds, especially cats! She had a knack for attracting stray cats and eventually adopting them into her home. She was a participating member of the Osage Community Elks Lodge in Laurie and the Indian Rock Golf Club. Evelyn was a kind, caring and generous person who was always there for her friends and family - especially her daughters. Evelyn will be dearly missed by daughters, Jannette (Jason) Colvin and Jan Marie Van Schoyck and grandchildren, Nate Colvin and Luke Van Schoyck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry in 2019. A celebration of life will be held at a later date In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to install a memorial bench in Evelyn’s honor at the Indian Rock Golf Club in care of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, PO Box 26, Versailles, MO 65084. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
