REV. ELEANOR E. HARDY On August 9, 2020, Reverend Eleanor E. Hardy went home to be with her Heavenly Father. Eleanor was born on August 11, 1923 in Janesville, Wisconsin the eldest of her brothers and sisters. Granny, as she was affectionately known, was a Pastor in the Church of God of Prophecy for most of her adult life. Granny was happiest doing the Lord’s work and serving those around her. She was preceded in death by her father, James Snyder; her mother, Eunice Korte; her husband, Clyde Hardy; son, DeWayne Hardy and brothers, James and Orville Snyder. Granny leaves behind her three daughters, Sonja “Kitty” Fitch, Sandra McDaniel and Cora Lynn Rose “Corky’ Kask; two sisters, Maxine Ryan and Marie Stendebach; her brothers, George Snyder, Russell Snyder, Dallas Snyder, Dale Snyder and Steven Snyder; seven grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. Granny loved her family and all her friends that became family to her. Granny touched many people’s hearts and lives and she will be greatly missed. We can all take comfort in knowing that she is in her Heavenly home and in the arms of her Lord and Savior. The family wants to extend a great thank you to the staff of Riverdell Care Center for all the love and care you gave to our Granny. You all are amazing. A very big heartfelt thank you to Donna Heavin for all you gave to Granny these past years. Our sweet and loving mother, grandmother, Pastor and friend will be missed but we know she is where she has always wanted to rest. God Bless you Granny. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at Versailles Cemetery, Versailles, Missouri. No visitation will be held.
