Edith Roberts Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

EDITH ROBERTS Margaret Edith Roberts, age 87, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles, Missouri. She was born July 23, 1933 in Boone County, Missouri, a daughter of Roy and Margaret (Acton) Perkins. On July 28, 1951, she was united in marriage to Zim P Roberts, Jr. Together they shared fifty-three years of marriage before his passing on August 9, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth Wayne Roberts; and two granddaughters, Tina Marie Roberts and Dana Janine Roberts. Survivors include a son, Stanley Thomas Roberts and wife Sherri; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Roberts and Catherine Jane Horton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Perkins; a sister, Wanda Baker and a host of other relatives and friends. Edith was raised in Boone County, Missouri and lived there until she and Zim moved to Versailles, Missouri in the 1960’s. She worked as a waitress at various restaurants including Top’s Café. She was a member of the Hillbilly C.B. Club and was true animal lover. She was happiest spending time with her grandkids. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles. Burial will follow in Versailles Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
