Deborah Sue (Turner) George, 66, passed away January 16, 2022. She was born on March 11, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri to Kenneth and Kathryn Turner. Debbie was preceded in her death by her parents, Kenneth & Kathryn, her three brothers, Richard, Vester and Kenneth Albert, her sister Nancy, as well as her step-daughter, Stacey (George) Hicks. Debbie attended Oak Park High School, where she organized a “sit in”, permanently changing the dress code for all girls from mandatory dresses and skirts. Debbie owned several retail businesses and also worked in the furniture industry for many years. Debbie took delight in her family/her children, animals, exploring, reading, gardening and treasure hunting. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her sweet, kind and adventurous nature and her ability to make everyone feel loved. She is lovingly remembered by her husband/partner of 29 years, Olin “Randy” George; her children, Stephen and Tammy Lewis, Jennifer Wood (Neil Becker), Staci McIntire, Anthony “Tony” and Alesia Lewis and Donny Lewis; her step-children, Daniel and Kelly George, Tracee Davis (Greg Geritz) and Randall; her brother, Billy Turner; her grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob, Alexis, Christopher, Dustin, Katie, James, Braden, Avery, Hannah, Antionette, Catrina, Jazmyn, Austin and Adam, Kristine, Cody, Brooke, Jill, Rachel and Sydney; her great-grandchildren; Naomi, Daylenn and Jaydin. A private service will be held on February 5th followed by a Celebration of Life on July 9th. (Feel free to reach out to the family for details.) In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter of choice. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
