David E. Dibble

December 15, 1944 - March 13, 2021

David E. Dibble, age 76, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021, at his home. He was born December 15, 1944, in Portland, Oregon, a son of the late Gerald and Dorothy (Olson) Egan. On December 16, 1987, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Lynn (McMorrow) Haas Dibble. Dave worked as the yard master for Milwaukee Road Soo Line and Canadian Pacific Railroad for thirty-nine years until his retirement. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and fishing. Dave was an avid collector and enjoyed antiquing with Lynn. Above all, he loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. The family would like to thank Lake West Ambulance and the Gravois and Sunrise Beach Fire Departments for their loving care. In addition to his wife, Lynn, he is survived by his children, Sue Smythe and husband Peter of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Cindy Ellison and husband Paul of Arizona and Mike Dibble of Wisconsin; step-children, Michael and Patti Haas of Wisconsin and Jennifer Haas of Nevada; many grandchildren; his brother, John Dibble and wife Mary of Des Moines, Iowa; half-sister, Debbie Zillges of Wisconsin and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Lake West Ambulance or the Gravois or Sunrise Beach Fire Departments. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
