Bob White

January 5, 1956 - February 21, 2017

BOB WHITE Bob Best White, 61, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017. He was born January 5, 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Charles Cutler and Mary Alice (Best) White. On April 11, 1992 in Snowmass, Colorado, he was united in marriage to Denise Moffitt. Together they shared the past twenty-four years of marriage. Bob was a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas. He was the owner of KC Car Wash and later became a District Executive of Boy Scouts for the Kinderhook District. He was currently the Executive Director of Share the Harvest Food Pantry in Greeview, Missouri. Bob spent most of his free time helping others. He was active in Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast, having served as President. He was involved in many youth organizations including Boy Scouts, Pride of the Lake Band Boosters, Big Brothers Big Sisters, 2nd Chance Bikes, Hurricane Deck P.T.O. and Christmas for Kids. He completed Boy Scouts of America Wood Badge training, an intense six day course. He was a Vigil Honor candidate in the Order of the Arrow. He was very proud to have guided his son Casey in achieving his Eagle Scout rank. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan. He loved living at the lake. He did not cross a bridge without giving a count of boats on the water at any time of year. Most of all, spending time with family and friends was special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and an infant son, Alexander Abel. Survivors include his wife, Denise; his daughter, Allison White; his son, Casey White; a sister, Sharon Reinert and husband Jim; a niece, Mary Cate Reinert; a nephew, Christopher Reinert; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, Osage Beach. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday in Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to B.S.A. Troop 232 or Share the Harvest Food Pantry. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
