Wes Wade

WES WADE Arthur Wesley Wade, age 85, of Barnett, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Capital Region Hospital. Wes was born June 23, 1935 in Indianola, Iowa to Hazel (Bishop) Wade and Percival Arthur Wade. Wes moved with his family to Miller, South Dakota when he was a child. He graduated from Miller High School and enlisted in the South Dakota National Guard. On September 16 1958, he married Delores Dixon and to this union four children were born: Wanda, Jonna, Patrick, and Karla. They later parted ways. Wes worked at John Deere, Van Dyke Supply, and Huron Manufacturing. In 1974 Wes moved to Ida Grove, Iowa where he worked at Gomaco Corporation for many years. On May 17, 1979, Wes married his soul-mate Connie Jean (Miller) Hausman and to this union Connie brought two children, David and Jodi. Connie helped Wes realize his dream of becoming an auctioneer and together they built WesCon Auction Service. In 1996 Wes and Connie moved to Barnett, MO. Wes worked as a heating and cooling technician until his retirement. Wes and Connie found their true home in the Golden Beach Community. Wes was a member of the Moreau Fire Protection District, Commissioner of Gravois Special Road District #8 and a member of the V.F.W. Post 5178 Auxiliary in Gravois Mills, Missouri until his death. Wes was an active member of the Golden Beach Community Church, Golden Beach Crime Watch, and Golden Beach Community Center for many years. He was the type of guy you could always count on to help a friend in need. Wes and Connie's favorite times were spent with family and friends and especially going to as many of their grandchildren's events as they could. Wes was especially proud of his grandchildren who served in the military. Wes and Connie had a collection of fur babies who were members of their family. Wes lost his best friend and soul mate, Connie to cancer April 27, 2010. Wes loved working with his hands, fishing, camping, hunting, singing, dancing. playing cards and board games with his grandchildren, and in later years he enjoyed writing poetry. Wes leaves behind his children, Wanda (Milo) Schiernbeck, Jonna Wade, Patrik (Tim) Andrews-Ryan and Karla Ehlers; his two step-children, David (Glenda) Hausman and Jodi (Tom) Nielsen; grandchildren, Jennet (James) Miller, Robert Nepper, Karmalita (Kenny) Irlmieir, Rosanna Hinojosa, Cecilia (Erik) Smith, Arik (Amanda) Wade, Kayla (Mike) Perez, Jake ( Liz) Koivisto, Kylee (Ted) Paakkonen, Angela (Jason) Cook, Kenny Hausman, Keith Hausman, Brett (Annie) Edmundson, Trevor (Rachael) Edmundson and Erin Nielsen; twenty great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Golden Beach Community Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
