Victoria "Vicki" Sinclair

Victoria “Vicki” Sinclair left us peacefully at her home surrounded by family on October 6, 2024. She was born April 18, 1944, in Maquoketa, Iowa, a daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Werden. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri and began working at Hallmark Cards where she met and married Roger Sinclair. They married on December 10, 1966, and together they shared 50 years of a wonderful marriage before his passing on April 12, 2017. In 1976, they purchased a fishing cabin on the Lake of the Ozarks and the family enjoyed many years of fun at the lake. After Roger and Vicki retired, they moved to the lake permanently and became members of the Elks Lodge. Vicki was a social butterfly and enjoyed many different activities. She loved to play darts, shuffleboard and bridge with her many friends at the Lodge. She was an avid quilter and belonged to the “Angels of Joy” quilt group at the Lodge. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and decorating. She was a grandma of 5 and great-grandma of 4. Her grandkids remember the fun things they would do together like the endless games of Clue and dancing in the kitchen to Shania Twain. She also belonged to a social sorority, Beta Sigma Phi for many years and enjoyed those friendships very much. She loved the Chiefs and Royals and even helped draft the players for her daughter’s fantasy football team. She is survived by her daughters, Angie Jackson of Lee’s Summit, MO and Tanya Holt of Independence, MO, 5 grandchildren, Lexi, Jake, Maddie, Blake and Austin and 4 great-grandchildren, Harper, Jacqueline, Colton and Jaycee. She is also survived by her sister, Faye Nolting of Waukon, IA and Bruce Werden of Iowa, also many wonderful and loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Mark Werden, an infant sister Gayle Sue and a nephew, Todd Nolting. Vicki’s light has touched many people throughout her life and although her absence will be felt by everyone who knew her, it gives us peace to know she is in a better place, and we will see her again when our time to leave this Earth comes. A celebration of Vicki's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26th, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Graveside services and inurnment will follow in Garber Memorial Estates. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Elks Benevolent Trust who provide dental care for special needs children. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
