Tommye G. Washburn

With profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Tommye Washburn—a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a faithful prayer warrior, and a woman whose love shaped generations. She was called to her heavenly home on February 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Osage Beach. Mom’s life was a living testimony to one of her many favorite Scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” She held tightly to that promise through every season of her life, trusting God’s plan with unwavering faith and courage. That hope carried her, guided her, and overflowed into the lives of everyone blessed to know her. As a faithful member of The Church at Osage Hills, Mom loved her church family dearly. She worshiped wholeheartedly, prayed faithfully, and served joyfully. Her faith was not just something she spoke about—it was something she lived every single day. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and our best friend. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome. Her words were filled with wisdom and encouragement. Her prayers covered her family constantly. She taught us to trust God, to love deeply, and to stand firm in faith no matter the circumstance. While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in knowing that her hope has now been fulfilled, and she rests in eternal peace. The plans God had for her have led her home. She is survived by her children, Traci Clark (Lee R. Clark, Jr.) and Jeffrey Rhea; Ted’s children, Kevin Washburn and Kelly Venus (Jeff); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; sister, Carole Lhotka (Allan) and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Omer Joe and Ola Lucille Welden, her husband, Ted Washburn, granddaughter, Rachael Rhea, brother, Terry Welden and sister, Jolene Walker. A celebration of Tommye’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21st, at The Church at Osage Hills in Osage Beach. A private family inurnment will be held in the Versailles Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the mission’s fund at The Church at Osage Hills. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
