Kathy Fuller

KATHY FULLER Carla Catherine Fuller, 76, passed away on May 1, 2024 at Lake Regional Hospital. Carla “Kathy” was born on June 12, 1947 to Vern and Louise Brewer in Kansas City, Missouri. She grew up with her mother and her grandparents, Albert and Vera Lewis, in Holden, Missouri, where her grandfather owned a feed store. Kathy attended Holden High School, where she graduated in 1965. After graduation, Kathy and her friend, Beverly, moved together to Kansas City where they found employment at Kansas City Life. Later, Kathy began working at John Knox Village in Lees Summit. There, Kathy met her first husband, Richard Foulk. They were married on November 15, 1973. The couple relocated to the Lake of the Ozarks, and went on to raise three children. In 1979, Kathy took a job at Lake Regional Hospital in the dietary department, and worked her way into a position as a pharmacy technician in 1983. In 1986, Richard passed away suddenly, leaving Kathy to raise her family as a single parent. She worked hard to provide for her kids, but always made time to be there for all their school events. While working at the hospital, she met her second husband, Ronald Fuller. The couple married on June 25, 2002. After 39 years of dedicated service, Kathy retired from Lake Regional Hospital in January of 2018. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading books, drinking coffee, and watching tv with her beloved cat, Lady Gray and her dog, Tea. Kathy enjoyed gardening and being outside, basking in the sun. On rainy days, she would always make pancakes for dinner, just like her grandfather used to do for her as a child. Most of all, she enjoyed shopping, especially with her good friend, Joline. Kathy will be remembered as a kind, funny, hardworking woman who loved her family. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Vern and Louise Brewer; her grandparents, Albert and Vera Lewis; her husband, Ronald Fuller and her first husband, Richard Foulk. She is survived by her sons, Lance (Jaimie) Foulk and Nathan (Toree) Foulk; her daughter, Rebecca (Mark) Massey; her sister, Karen Nelson as well as seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a niece and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Kathy at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gravois Mills, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Flowers and condolences may be sent to St. Patrick Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
