Frances Pearl Jump

Frances Pearl Jump, age 87, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away May 5, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born January 4, 1937, in Bolivar, Missouri, a daughter of the late Alfred Jump and Inez (Hutcheson) Jump. Frances was a member of the Family Worship Center in Versailles. She was a loving mother to Bertha Potter, Alfred E. Lockhart, Tonya Vaught, and Louella Pryor. In her youth, Frances found joy and fulfillment serving others and building bonds within the community as a local waitress. Her warm smile and charismatic demeanor made all her customers feel like family. She cherished the connections she made during those years, always sharing stories and moments from over the diner counter. Outside of work, Frances was skilled in many hobbies. She spent time as a dedicated crafter, working with ceramics and sewing intricate quilts for friends and family to enjoy. Her handcrafted creations brought comfort and joy to all who received them. Other hobbies that Frances enjoyed were square dancing, bingo, and a passion for bowling. One of her biggest joys in life was the love of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Affectionately referred to as GG (great-grandma), her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of freshly baked treats (chocolate chip cookies), creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Frances is survived by her daughters, Bertha Potter of Buffalo, Missouri, Tonya Vaught and husband R.W. Vaught of Yellville, Arkansas and Louella Pryor of Versailles, Missouri; sister, Willa Mae Brewster of Tucson, Arizona; her grandchildren, Kim Atkinson of Buffalo, Missouri, Derek and wife Allie Wichhart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Geoffrey Wichhart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dustin Pryor, Ryan Pryor and wife Ashley and Devon Pryor all of Versailles, Missouri, Donnie Knotts of Jefferson City, Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Atkinson, Britnie Cable, Ryley and Ella Pryor, Ellie Dunnaway and Mayzie Pryor and Rainna, Zadyn, Hazley, and Charlie Knotts; her great- great-grandson, Fredrick Bellomy and expecting great- great-grandson, baby Ethan Alexander Cable. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred L. and Inez (Hutcheson) Jump, infant siblings, Olivene Joy, Johnnie A., Mary Ellen and Alfred; siblings, Lee Jump, Marian Jump, Marcella Vandergrift, W.J. Jump, Richard G. Jump, and Sonny Jump, son, Alfred E. Lockhart, granddaughter, Stephanie Tucker, grandsons, Curtis Potter and George Atkinson, great-grandsons, Bub Hughes and Shawn Henry and son-in-law, Chuck Pryor. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2024, at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. Memorial Donations may be made to Family Worship Center. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
