Connie Jean Wade

Connie Jean Wade, age 66, of Barnett, Missouri, formerly of Ida Grove, Iowa, passed away, Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family, following a battle with cancer. She was born on February 13, 1944, in Ida Grove, Iowa the daughter of the late Ralph “Jack” and Marjeane Clara Noll Miller. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Ida Grove High School. In 1962, she was united in marriage to James Hausman. Together they had two children, David Hausman and Jodi (Hausman) Nielsen. On May 17, 1979, she was united in marriage to Arthur “Wes” Wade, who survives of the home. Connie was totally devoted and cherished every adventure they shared. Wes and connie lived in Ida Grove, Iowa for a few years before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. They found their true home among the woods and hills of the Ozarks. She enjoyed being a homemaker and working in the Special Education program at Ida Grove Community School District and for a brief period at Glenwood School. After moving to the Ozarks, she worked for the Eldon Wal-Mart for fifteen years. She loved to cook and collect new recipes. She enjoyed her flowers and participating in activities with their Golden Beach friends and Community Center family. Connie especially loved family gatherings with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Wes, she is survived by one son, David Hausman and wife Glenda; one daughter, Jodi Nielsen and husband Tom; one step-son, Patrik Wade; three step-daughters, Wanda Schiernbeck and husband Milo, Jonna Wade, and Karla Koivisto and husband Gary; six grandchildren, Brett Edmundson, Trevor Edmundson, Erin Nielsen, Kenny Hausman, Keith Hausman, and Angela Cook and husband Jason; nine step-grandchildren, Jenny Nepper, Robby Nepper, Kami Irlmeier and husband Kenny, Rose Hinojosa and special friend Richie Schwery, Cecilia Hinojosa and fiancé Erik Smith, Aric Wade and wife Amanda, Kayla Wade and special friend Darren Huney, Jacob Koivisto, and Kylee Koivisto; six great-grandchildren, Jaden Cook, Lauren Cook, Kaitlyn Cook, Patrik Wade, Aiyana Wade, and Gennade Wade; one sister Candy Marsicek and husband Tom; nieces, nephews, and many friends. In addition to her parents Ralph “Jack” and Marjeane Clara Miller, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Percy and Hazel Bishop Wade. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Golden Beach Church near Barnett, Missouri. Expressions of sympathy may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.
