Back to Obituaries Sign the Guestbook Smith, Florence M. Florence M. Smith, age 79, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born January 25, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late John and Artie Floretta McMahan Moorehead. On April 14, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Orrie C. Smith Jr., who preceded her in death on January 23, 1998. . Florence is survived by, two sons Orrie C. Smith III and wife Janie of Kansas City, Kansas, and John Smith and wife Ann Marie of Gladstone, Missouri; one daughter, Jacqueline Heausler of Pasadena, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marge Easterday and husband Clyde of Atchison, Kansas, and Evelynn Niegsch and husband Robert of Kearney, Missouri. The funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garber Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.
