Sapp, Wilma Rose

Wilma Rose Sapp, age 76, of Bunceton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010, at her home. She was born December 31, 1933, in Tuscumbia, Missouri, the daughter of the late James Willard and Laura Opal Grosvenor Hedrick.
She was united in marriage to Paul Edward Sapp on June 7, 1953 in Marshall, Missouri. Together they raised four children while living in and near several small towns in mid Missouri.
Wilma was a avid gardener and had a green thumb right up to her shoulder. She grew and canned many items from her gardens over the years. She truly loved flowers and always had a beautiful and well-kept flower garden at every home she had. She was also a wonderful cook and could make absolutely anything taste great. Her life revolved around her family, particularly her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved Chinese food, and having food fights with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved dogs and lost many beloved pets over the years.
She is survived by three sons, David Edward Sapp and wife Teresa of Bunceton, Missouri, Daniel Sapp and wife Theresa of California, Missouri, and Wesley Paul Sapp of California, Missouri; one daughter, Pamela Rose Lamm and husband Ronald of California, Missouri; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one poodle Levi; six sisters, Bethel Wilson of Syracuse, Shirley Hudson of St. Louis, Sue Schreck of Clarksburg, Laura Sousley of Odessa, Mary Cobb of Syracuse, and Kay Wilson of Odessa; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Sapp, her siblings Marie Cochran, James Ray Hedrick, and Bonnie Hedrick.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 22, at the Kidwell-Garber Versailles. Interment will follow in the Glensted Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus. The pallbearers are David Sapp, Daniel Sapp, Wesley Sapp, Ronald Lamm, Roy Sousley and Dallas Chochran, Honorary pallbearers are Junior Stewart and Charles Bishop.
