Cooper Brian Hibdon, age 22 months, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010. He was born March 1, 2008, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Joseph Brian and Leslie Cooper Hibdon.
He was baptized on June 29, 2008, at the Versailles United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Versailles Saddle Club.
Cooper is survived by his mother, Leslie Hibdon of Tipton; his father, Joey Hibdon and fiancé’ Becky Schad of Versailles; paternal grandparents, Ernie and Janet Hibdon of Laurie; maternal grandparents, Don and Bertha Harris of Tipton; paternal great-grandparents, Glen and Billie Hibdon of Laurie; paternal great-grandmother, Barbara Donnington of Sunrise Beach; aunts and uncles, Rick and Loretta Sprinkles, Lawrence and Tracy Cooper, and Chad Hibdon; cousins, Matthew and Mandy Sprinkles, Emily Sprinkles, Lindsey Cooper, Megan Cooper, and Dylan Cooper; second cousin, Aubrey Sprinkles; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Cooper, and his maternal great-grandparents, Sherman and Flossie Kiser.
Cooper’s family would like to express their gratitude for the special prayers over the last 22 months. He was a blessing to all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 11, at the Versailles United Methodist Church with Pastor Barry Fielder officiating. Interment will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery with Chad Hibdon, Jerry McClain, Rick Sprinkles, and Matthew Sprinkles serving as casketbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Children’s Therapy Center for the Children’s Fund, 1500 Ewing Drive, Sedalia, Missouri, 65301 or to the Little Pintos Daycare, 707 East Smith Street, California, Missouri 65018.
