Back to Obituaries Sign the Guestbook Moses, Joan A. Petree Joan A. Petree Moses, age 68, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at the North Kansas City Hospital. She was born July 19, 1941, in Versailles, Missouri, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Lorene Williams Petree. On February 21, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Donald Moses, who survives of the home. Joan worked for 25 years as a receptionist switchboard operator for Arrow Truck Sales in Kansas City, until her retirement. In her spare time, she loved to shop. In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by two sons, Jeff Moses and wife Toni and Payton Moses and wife Ginny both of Independence; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; her brother, C.E. Petree and wife Gladys of Independence; her sister-in-law, Julia Petree of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Petree, and her sister, Gilberta Petree. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 4, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Dr. Todd Forman officiating. Interment will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery in Fortuna. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
